    On July 24, 2010, YouTube partnered with filmmaker Kevin MacDonald and producer Ridley Scott to produce an independent film titled Life In a Day, which was intended to serve as a time capsule to show the life of people all over the world on July 24. Anyone with a YouTube account could tape footage of what was happening in his or her life on that particular day, and then submit their video to the channel for consideration. Certain footage will be selected to become part of an experimental film that will be screened at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2011.
